10-angle coin 1 dollar Belize
The non-round 1 dollar coin (10-sided, 10-sided) has been issued in Belize since 1990 to the present, made of nickel-brass alloy.
In 2012, a one-dollar coin was minted dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Central Bank of Belize.
Design
Side with the value designation (reverse)
Since 1990 – Columbus’s ship at sea, floral ornament on the left and right;
2012 – Bird in flight, floral ornament on the left and right.
Inscription: “ONE DOLLAR $1” at the top, “BELIZE date” at the bottom.
Side with the issuer’s name (obverse)
Since 1990 – Head of Queen Elizabeth II in a crown;
2012 – Central Bank of Belize Building.
Inscription:
Since 1990 – “QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND” around the circle;
2012 – “CENTRAL BANK OF BELIZE 30TH ANNIVERSARY” around the circle at the top, “1982-2012” at the bottom.
