Gold coins of Tiberius II Constantine Byzantine Emperor

September 26 578 through August 14 582

A fairly unremarkable ruler, who used money buy influence and peace.  Fortunately for the empire he died before he had created total financial ruin.  By far his greatest achievement was selecting Maurice Tiberius to succeed him.
