On the front side in the center is a box with the inscription "FINE TEA" on it. At the top, a circular inscription: "T & F LEWIS TEA DEALERS", at the bottom: "CHURCH St BILSTON".

Thomas and Frederick Lewis were hereditary tea, coffee and groceries merchants on Church Street in Bilston, Wolverhampton, West Midlands (formerly Staffordshire) (Church Street, Bilston, Wolverhampton, West Midlands (formerly Staffordshire). Their father Samuel Lewis was listed as a grocer in the 1841 census.

The reverse side depicts a portrait of the young Queen Victoria (Alexandrina Victoria, 1819 - 1901), who came to the throne in 1837. The Victorian era became a period of industrial, cultural, political, scientific and military development for the British Empire.
