The non-round (convex triangle) $1 coin was minted in Bermuda in 1997-1998 and is made of copper-nickel alloy.

Issuer name side (obverse)
1997 – The wreck of the Sea Venture, which marked the beginning of British settlements in Bermuda;
1998 – The sailing ship “Deliverance” (a ship built in Bermuda by survivors of the Sea Venture disaster) against a map.
Inscription: “BERMUDA” at the bottom.
