Value side (reverse)
A rayed star with a hole in the center, denomination at the top, three small stars on the left and right, year at the bottom.
Inscription:
1887-1888 – 1 Сме.. above, date below;
1910-1919 – 1 С. above, date below.
Issuer name side (obverse)
Five monograms of the king (1887-1888 Leopold II, 1910-1919 Albert I) in the form of a star around the central hole, each topped with a crown, inside a circle of dots.
Inscription:
1887-1888 – LEOP II R DE BELGES SOUV DE L`ETAT INDEP DU CONGO (Leopold II King of Belgium ruler of the Free State of Congo);
1910-1919 – CONGO BELGE BELGISCH CONGO (“Belgian Congo” in French and Flemish).
